About TradeStation® Web Trading

TradeStation® Web Trading is a secure and powerful web-based tool that can be used to analyze and trade equities, options, and futures markets. Web Trading is based on TradeStation's award-winning platform software and offers you the ability to trade and monitor your account from locations where installing the full platform is impractical. Trades are made to your regular TradeStation accounts. You may enter or exit positions in both the Web Trading and the TradeStation platforms.

Overview

The following outlines the general steps you will follow when using Web Trading.

  • Create multiple quotes lists to monitor your portfolio and investment opportunities.
  • Chart price activity for a specific symbol and time interval.
  • Analyze quote and chart price data using studies such as ADX, Keltner Channel, Volume Avg, and more.
  • Place standard and advanced trades in the Trade Bar.
  • Place trades, including Option Spreads, from the Option Chain app.
  • Review positions, orders, and account balances.
  • View market depth and manage trades from the Matrix.
  • Create hot lists to identify trading ideas and monitor news on a company.

Layout

Choose from one of nine layouts to customize the Web Trading workspace to best suit your analytic and trading needs. Pin the Trade Bar open to quickly place trades.

About Web Trading

1 Trade Bar

Click the Trade button and the Trade Bar appears. Choose Standard Order, OCO/OSO, or Option Orders. Click the pin icon to keep the Trade Bar open.

2  Positions, Orders, Balances, Quotes, Option Chain

The Positions app shows your open positions, and the Orders app shows your recent orders. Use the Balances app to see account information. Click the Quotes app to create a My Quotes list and view market data for the symbols that you want to follow. Use the Option Chain app to view and trade single options, custom spreads, and multi-leg spread types for underlying equity or index symbols. You can also use the Matrix app to view market depth and trade activity, the Hot Lists app to display securities based on market activity, and the News app to monitor news on a company.

3 Charting

The Chart app displays a series of historical bar values that represent trading intervals for your symbol. Add studies and drawings for more detailed analysis. Place trades directly from the chart. You can also symbol-link from the Orders, Positions, Quotes, or Hot Lists apps to a chart.

4 Settings

Use settings to change the layout or theme of your Web Trading window, confirm if you are connected to the platform, view the online help, or send us feedback. You can also set the Inactivity Timeout, or log out from Web Trading.
