Resizing a Window
Resizing a window enables you to change the amount of space in the workspace taken up by the window and to change the shape of the window. To resize a window, position the pointer on any edge or corner of the selected window. The pointer will turn into a double-sided arrow, as described next.
- To resize the window horizontally, place the pointer over the window frame at the side. The pointer will change into a horizontal resize pointer, . Click and drag the mouse until the selected window is the desired width, then release the mouse button to complete.
- To resize the window vertically, position the pointer over the window frame at the top or bottom. The pointer will change into a vertical resize pointer, . Click and drag the mouse until the selected window is the desired height then release the mouse to complete.
- To resize the window both horizontally and vertically at the same time, position your pointer at the corner of the window. The pointer will change into a diagonal resize pointer, . Click and drag the mouse until the selected window is the desired size then release the mouse to complete.
