Today's Orders Panel

Today's Orders panel in OptionStation Pro lets you view the status of open and filled orders, and use cancel/replace for price discovery.

To access Today's Orders panel, click the Manage tab in OptionStation Pro.

Click the + or - sign at the start of each spread order row to expand or collapse the leg details for the order or to expand or collapse each order category (Received, Filled, UROut).

Actions - Located on the right side of each spread order row. Displays a shortcut menu with the following choices:
Cancel/Replace

For a pending order (received but not filled), populates the Trade Bar with the selected order row providing you with the choice to modify order parameters (price, quantity, order type) that will Cancel/Replace the existing order. When ready, click Place Order on the Trade Bar to send the modified order.

 The order type can only be changed from the current order type to a market order.

Create Duplicate Order

Populates the Trade Bar with a copy of the selected order row using the same order parameters as the original. After reviewing or changing the order parameters (price, quantity, order type, route, duration, account number, and activation rules), click Place Order on the Trade Bar to send the order.

Create Opposite Order

Populates the Trade Bar with a copy of the selected order row where the Buy or Sell side is set to the opposite of the original. After reviewing or changing the order parameters (price, quantity, order type, route, duration, account number, and activation rules), click Place Order on the Trade Bar to send the order.

Cancel Order

For a pending order (received but not filled), cancels the selected order.

Copy Order #

Places a copy of the order number into the clipboard.

Copy Symbol

Places a copy of the symbols that make up the spread order into the clipboard.

- Located on the right side of the Today's Orders column row. Displays a shortcut menu with the following choices:
Cancel - All Day Orders

Sends an order to cancel only pending Day orders (received but not filled).

Cancel - All Open Orders

Sends an order to cancel each pending Open order (received but not filled).

- Located at the upper right of the Today's Orders panel. Displays a shortcut menu with the following choices:
Customize Columns

Displays the Customize Columns dialog that allows you to add or remove columns from the panel and to change their displayed order (up or down).

Best Fit (All Columns)

Automatically adjusts the width and spacing of the displayed columns within the panel.

Collapse All

Collapses the order details and displays only the heading for each order category (Received, Filled, UROut).

Copy All Rows

Places a copy of all Today's Orders rows on the clipboard.

Export To Excel

Exports a copy of all Today's Orders rows to an Excel spreadsheet file.

Help (F1)

Displays the help page for the current panel, Today's Orders in this case.

Today's Orders Panel Columns

Columns for the Today's Orders panel can be added, removed, repositioned, copied to the clipboard, and exported to Microsoft Excel. You can also copy your order number or symbols to the clipboard.

The following is a list of all the columns that make up the Today's Orders heading rows.

Fixed columns (that always appear)

  • Account - The account number of the orders being viewed.
  • Entered - The date and time the order was entered.
  • Order # - The order ID number assigned to the trade.

Default columns (in alphabetical order)

  • Duration - The length of time that your order will remain valid in the market.
  • Expiration - The date each contract expires.
  • Filled Price - The aggregate trade price that is paid or received for each share or contract.
  • Limit - The limit price (if any) for the order.
  • Mid - The mid price is the average of the bid and ask prices.
  • Natural - The price, sometimes called Natural Price, that is typically used when sending a market order. When buying an option, the natural price is the Ask. When selling an option, the natural price is the Bid.
  • Qty Filled - The number of shares or contracts actually filled for a particular order.
  • Quantity - The requested number of shares or contracts for a particular order.
  • Side - The long or short side of order.
  • Spread - The name of the spread; for example, Butterfly, Single, etc.
  • Symbol - The name of the symbol being traded.

Additional columns to add (in alphabetical order)

  • Account Alias - The TradeStation account number alias name.
  • Advanced - The activation rule conditional string.
  • Asset Type - The type of asset traded.
  • Group Name - The Order Cancels Order (OCO) group name of the order that was generated.
  • Order Status - The current status for each order (received, rejected, filled, etc.).
  • Order Type - The type of spread order (Market, Limit, Stop-Market, Stop-Limit).
  • Originator - Identifies the TradeStation account that originated a particular order.
  • Route - The route used to place an order.
  • Stop Price - The stop price (if any) for the order.
  • Triggered By - The order ID number containing the Order Sends Order (OSO) segment that triggered the order to be generated.
  • Underlier - The symbol of the underlying asset.
