Customize Symbol (Time & Sales)

Customizing a symbol for the Time & Sales window consists of choosing the type of data you want to display (real-time or historical) as well as which market events (trades, bids, or asks). You can also specify the data range to display and change the symbol for which the data is displayed.

 Access using the Settings > Symbol menu sequence. The Customize Symbol dialog is displayed.

Symbol  

Displays the selected symbol in the quote bar.  

  • Select the desired drop-down list to select a symbol a different symbol. Symbols are only displayed if they were inserted into the active Time & Sales window.
  • Lookup - Launches the Symbol Lookup dialog and search the desired symbol by asset type, description or symbol name.

Data  

Contains the data settings for the selected symbol.

  • Date - To view a desired date's data, select the date from the drop-down list.
  • Last [nn] ticks - Select this setting to enter the number of ticks to display in the Time & Sales window.
  • Last [nn] minutes - Select this setting to enter the number of days back to display in the Time & Sales window.
  • From [date] to [date] - Select this setting to view data by from/to dates. Enter or use the up/down arrows to enter the desired dates.

Display  

Contains the settings in how the data is displayed in the active Time & Sales window.

  • Trades - Check this setting to choose the criteria type in displaying active trades. Select Show all trades to display all trades, or Show trade [by] [nn] Shs.Ctrs to select the operator type and enter the number of shares or contracts to be displayed.
  • Bids - Check this setting to display active trading Bids.
  • Asks - Check this setting to display active trading Asks.
  • Maximum number of items to display - Enter the number of desired rows to display in the active Time & Sales window.

Set as default (Display settings only) - Check this setting to apply your display changes to future Time & Sales windows.

 Click OK to apply changes or Cancel to exit without changes.
