Enabling Short Selling Preference

To open and cover short positions, you must enable the Trade Bar for short selling. For more information, see Order Entry Preferences - Equities-Trading.

1. From the Trade Bar, use the right-click Settings > Order Entry Preferences menu sequence. The Order Entry Preferences dialog is displayed.
2. From the left pane, select Trading under the desired asset class.
3. Under Short Selling, select the Enable Short Selling check box.
4. Click OK.
