Customize Symbol - Properties
Use the Properties tab to display detailed information about the selected symbol, such as category, price scale, and time zone. The information on this tab is for display purposes only. You can also access the Sessions window from the Properties tab to create and modify custom sessions.
To open the Customize Symbol dialog automatically after the creation of a chart, use the View > Chart Analysis Preferences menu sequence. On the General tab, check the Prompt for edit setting.
Access from a Chart Analysis window using the Data
> Edit Symbol menu sequence and select the Properties
tab.
To
access the Customize Symbol dialog automatically after a chart has been created,
use the Settings > Preferences menu sequence. On the
General tab, select the Prompt for customization when creating new Chart Analysis
window check box and click OK.
Equities 
- Symbol - Displays the selected symbol listed in the Trade Bar.
- Category - Displays the type of financial instrument that the symbol represents, such as a stock, index, or mutual fund.
- Country - Displays the country for the exchange trading for the selected symbol.
- Currency - Displays the type of base currency for the selected symbol.
- Session - Displays the trading session represented in the chart. Click View/Customize to view and/or customize the chart's session. For more information, see About Symbol Sessions.
- Time Zone - Displays the time zone used for the selected symbol.
- Price Scale - Displays the price scale used for the selected symbol.
- Min Move - Displays the minimum move for the selected symbol.
- Big Point Value - Displays the big point value for the selected symbol.
Options
- Symbol - Displays the selected symbol listed in the Trade Bar.
- Category - Displays the type of financial instrument that the symbol represents, such as a stock, index, or mutual fund.
- Country - Displays the country for the exchange trading for the selected symbol.
- Currency - Displays the type of base currency for the selected symbol.

- Time Zone - Displays the time zone used for the selected symbol.

- Min Move - Displays the minimum move for the selected symbol.
- Big Point Value - Displays the big point value for the selected symbol.
- Expiration Date - Displays the expiration date for a futures or options contract.
- Exercise Style - Displays the market in which trades are made from (American or European).
- Settlement Type - Displays the payment type that is delivered.
- Option Type - Displays the type of options contract the symbol represents, either a put or a call.
- Strike Price - Displays strike price of an option contract.
Futures
- Symbol - Displays the selected symbol listed in the Trade Bar.
- Category - Displays the type of financial instrument that the symbol represents, such as a stock, index, or mutual fund.
- Country - Displays the country for the exchange trading for the selected symbol.
