What's New in TradeStation Help

Here are the features that have been recently added to the TradeStation Help system:

September 2017

The TradeStation help system update includes:

• Updated help for the Federal Reserve Board Regulation T Margin Requirement, including: setting a buying power warning; definitions for overnight buying power, day trade buying power, and overnight buying power vs. day trade buying power; and a buying power example with updates to buying power logic for order verification.

July 2017

The TradeStation help system update includes:

• An updated NYSE American order route (previously known as AMEX) for equities and options.
• Revisions to Web Trading help for Update 1.20.5.

June 2017

The TradeStation help system update includes:

• Revised help for OptionStation® Pro Update 18, describing the new simplified tabbed interface for Options, Analysis, Manage, and Search.

May 2017

The TradeStation help system update includes:

• An updated About RadarScreen® & Quotes topic that illustrates key features of the real-time opportunity scanning and analysis tool.

January 2017

The TradeStation help system update includes:

• New order routes for options: BATS, C2, EDGO, GMNI, ISE Mercury, MIAX, MIAX Pearl, and NASDAQ BX.
• An updated tax preparation section with a how-to video for TradeStation’s Gain/Loss Tax Management Tool.
• Expanded help for placing if touched orders, the TradeStation data network, and forex symbology.

December 2016

The TradeStation help system update includes:

• A "What's New in TradeStation Help" section on the homepage linking to the updates on new features listed here.
• An updated tax preparation section with a link to frequently asked questions on reporting cost basis information.
• New smart symbol lookup drop-down list in the order bar.
• New tips in the desktop platform help where similar functionality is available in Mobile and Web Trading versions of TradeStation.
• Revisions to Web Trading help for Update 1.19.

November 2016

The TradeStation 9.5 platform help homepage features a new design and new videos. There are now over 50 videos in the TradeStation and OptionStation Pro help topics. The new homepage and videos cater to different learning styles.

The update includes:

• A new homepage with icons to enable you to quickly scan the page to find information about the feature you need.
• New icons on the top of main topics to aid in navigation, and new icons in topics about using the help system.
• Short how-to videos to illustrate key features of the platform, including using the Order Bar, TradeManager, Charting, indicators, and strategy trading.
• New icons for the video player, main topics, and using help topics.
• To view the updates:
  • In the platform: go to the menu bar Help > TradeStation Platform Help to see the homepage and click an icon for more info.
  • To see the videos from the help, enter "video" in the help index or the help search engine.
• Expanded help for stop/if touched trigger types, stock symbology (including tick program and hard to borrow extensions), custom continuous futures symbology, new pre and post market support for the IEX order route, and news providers.
• New and updated indicators in the Analysis Techniques and Strategies help to match work area updates.
• An OptionStation Pro video index: enter "video" to find videos in the help index or the help search engine.
• A section to provide feedback comments (at the bottom of each page).

September 2016

The TradeStation help system update includes:

• New Sweep-ALGO and SweepPI-ALGO order routes for equities.
• New content for the Tick Size Pilot Program.
• Additional content in the Analysis Techniques and Strategies help and in the EasyLanguage Development Environment help.
• Revisions to Web Trading help for Update 1.18.
