About the Trace Log

The Trace Log provides you with help in understanding the backtesting results. The following tabs are available:

• Money Mgmt Cancellations - Displays cancelled orders from money management strategies.
• Constraint Cancellations - Displays cancelled orders by constraints.
• Portfolio Stop Cancellation - Displays cancelled orders by stops.
• Ranked Instruments - Displays the symbols in ranked order that are enabled for trading during each ranking period of the backtest.

The lower pane displays the list of the reports generated during backtesting.

 To view a report, select the desired report. Click on the desired tab to view orders cancelled or ranked instruments. Cancelled orders are shown with the date and calculations for that date. Ranked instruments are shown with the date and the list of symbols in the order of ranking for that date.

• Each tab can be exported into Excel by clicking the Export to Excel button on the toolbar.
