General
Portfolio Maestro users can convert any portfolio backtesting results into another currency denomination. This may be necessary because securities that are traded in a foreign denominated asset must be converted back into the currency in which the portfolio valuation takes place. Examples would be US based traders trading in the Euro denominated Bund or European traders operating in NASDAQ stocks.
Portfolio Maestro lets you set a portfolio currency for each portfolio. When backtesting is completed, the final performance report will be shown in the portfolio currency.
- To change the current setting for a portfolio, click the Manage Portfolios icon from the Shortcut Bar.
- Select the desired Portfolio Name from the Selections panel.
- Click the Portfolio Settings button. The Portfolio Settings dialog appears.
- From the General tab, you can change the name of the Portfolio and select the Portfolio Currency that will be used to report backtesting performance.
- Click OK when finished.
Note that when backtesting a portfolio, you can review the portfolio
Currency (to the right of Initial Capital) on the Settings
tab of the Backtest Portfolio
dialog.
