About TradeStation Update Manager
TradeStation Update Manager is designed to notify you of any TradeStation platform updates that are available to install on your computer. Color-coded visual cues will guide you to apply the most recent patch update for the version of the platform that is currently on your computer or to install a new release version of the TradeStation platform.
The main screen displays the most recent patch updates and release versions available. This includes the most recent platform builds released for general consumption, release candidates (RC), and test (alpha or beta) versions available to test program users. By selecting Show All from the main screen, users will be directed to a detail view that contains an itemized list of available patch updates, test program updates, and release versions that are available to be applied or installed on your computer. For more information on how to apply patch updates or install a release version, see Managing updates in TradeStation Update Manager.
Release Versions and Patch Updates
Release Versions - Release versions are full installations of the TradeStation platform and usually have a major design change such as enhanced performance or new features to an application. When installing a new version of TradeStation, you are adding a base build of the selected release version to your computer.

Patch Updates - Patches are incremental updates that are provided when there are minor improvements made to existing features, bug fixes for reported issues, new enhancements, or functional changes are made to the platform. When applying a patch update to an existing version you are applying the most recent patch available to the base build of the release version currently installed on your computer. It is highly recommended to apply patch updates when they are available to the TradeStation platform.
