Replacing an Order

You can quickly perform a Cancel-Replace of an individual Limit or Stop-Market order from the Trade Bar using just a few mouse clicks.

  1. From the Trade Bar, click Cancel
  2. Select Cancel-Replace - [order name].

    A nested shortcut menu appears with additional items labeled Send Now - Replace with [order parameter]. Several items have a second nested menu with a range of prices or shares from which to select.
  1. Move the mouse cursor over the items to highlight and select them.

    Selecting Customize at TradeStation Order bar transfers the parameters back into the Trade Bar fields and displays a Replace button that can be used to re-submit any order changes.

    A Confirm dialog may appear with a description of the order modifications.
  1. Click OK to accept the changes and replace the order, click No to cancel the order changes.

Once accepted, the existing order is immediately canceled and a replacement request is submitted. You'll need to check the order status to verify that the order was actually replaced in the market, since there may be some conditions that might cause an order to be rejected.
