Apply Templates (RadarScreen)

The Templates dialog allows you to apply a predefined or customized template to a RadarScreen window. For RadarScreen, the customize settings for the template are applied to all pages in the RadarScreen window.

For example, you may want to apply a template to an existing RadarScreen page. Before doing so, you have increased the font size using the Settings > Page menu sequence for easier viewing. Now, you want to change the layout of the page by applying a template, but you want the font size to remain intact. By deselecting the Font settings, the selected template is applied to the page without overriding the desired font you want for the page.

Access using the Studies > Templates > Apply Template menu sequence. The Templates dialog is displayed.

Template

Contains a list of pre-defined formatted templates for the active RadarScreen page window. Templates removed can not be retrieved. In order to restore the templates, you must reinstall TradeStation.

  • Select the desired template. Preview will display a glance of how the template will look for the active window.
  • Rename - Creates a new name for a predefined template that you have customized. The Rename Template dialog is displayed. The original template you renamed is removed from the Template list.
  • Delete - Removes the selected template from the Template list.

Apply

Contains various settings to further customize a template. By default, the customize settings check box settings are selected. If you clear a particular setting's check box, that customize setting will remain intact once you apply the template. If the check box is selected, the Settings > Page/Window menu sequence default settings for that template is applied.

  • General/Color/Grid/Font Settings - Deselect the check box to preserve any customize settings you placed on the active page/window prior to applying a template.

Click OK to apply changes or Cancel to exit without changes.
