Bid Tick Indicator

The bid tick indicator is an arrow that indicates the change in the bid price of a symbol. Nasdaq requires the display of the bid tick indicator for all Nasdaq National Market securities. In the Market Depth window, the bid tick indicator is shown as an up or down arrow on the Quote Bar. In the RadarScreen window, the bid tick indicator is represented by a plus sign (+) or a minus sign (-) in the Bid Dir column.

If the bid tick is up, the indicator appears as a green up arrow, or a plus sign (+). When the bid tick is down, the indicator appears as a red down arrow, or a minus sign (-). The bid tick indicator is not an indication of an up or downtick of the symbol's last price, but rather the bid price of the symbol.
