EasyLanguage Dictionary - Find
The Find tab allows you to search for EasyLanguage word or function and add it to an input of your study or strategy.
How to Use
- For
Studies, access using the Studies
> Edit Studies menu sequence.

For Strategies, access using the Studies > Edit Strategies menu sequence. - Select a Study or Strategy that contains inputs, then click Customize.
- From the Customize <study type>: <study name> dialog, select the Inputs tab
- Select an input name you want to modify, then click Dictionary
- From the EasyLanguage Dictionary dialog, select the Find tab.
To
bypass using the menu sequence, you can double click on the strategy
or study. Click Dictionary, then select the Find tab.
- To add the EasyLanguage item from the category tab, click OK. The item will appear in the Value field of the selected input.
Layout
Search
for
Enter a partial or whole word for the desired reserved word and/or function. Entries that most closely match will be displayed under Results.
To
sort the results, select the name or category heading. Each time you select
the heading name for the selected column, the list will sort in ascending
or descending order.
Results
Click the desired reserved word or function to insert.
An
explanation of the selected reserved word or function will be displayed
in the Notes box. For additional information on the reserved word, click
Definition.
Notes / Example
Displays additional information about the reserved word and/or function.
Parameters
Enter the desired value for each parameter Type in the selected Value box.
If
you do not enter parameter values in the EasyLanguage Dictionary, the
parameter names are pasted into your study instead. You can
then modify the values directly in your study.
Definitionbutton
Launches the EasyLanguage Reserved Words & Functions Help for the selected reserved word/function displayed under Results.
Click
OK to apply changes or Cancel
to exit without changes.
