News Filter - Alerts

The News Filter - Alerts dialog allows you to manage the alert settings for the selected news filter. You can enable an alert for the selected News filter so that you are notified when a headline is received that matches your criteria. There are three types of notifications that can be set for your alerts: audible, visual, and email.

When you are customizing your alert, you can set up custom settings for each filter in the News window (or using the global messaging preferences from the Message Center).

Access from a News window using the main menu Data > Search News (customize filter) sequence, or the Headline Pane shortcut menu Add News Filter sequence, and select the Alerts tab. The News Filter- Alerts dialog is displayed.

The News Filter - Alerts dialog is very similar to the Customize Study - Alerts dialog which are the alert settings for the Chart Analysis and RadarScreen windows.
