Choosing the Messaging Type

You can choose to be notified of alerts by means of an audio notification, visual notification, and/or email messaging. You can set up a single notification type for a specific alert or use a combination of notifications. For example, for News alerts, you might want to receive an email notification along with a sound alert. Following is a brief description of each alert notification method.  

Audible

Choose this option to receive a sound notification while TradeStation is open. You can select from the sound (.WAV) files included with TradeStation or use your own .WAV files.

Visual

Choose this option to receive the Alert window while TradeStation is open; the title bar of the Alert window reflects the event that triggered the alert. You can choose to display a pop-up message or a flashing icon in your system tray. If you select the pop-up message, you can choose how long you want to display it.

Email

Choose this option to send an email notification to the email address(es) specified in the Messaging window.
