Volume Today [Trade Size] (Column)

This field displays both Volume Today (Volume Today) and Trade Size. Trade Size is displayed in brackets ([ ]).

• Volume Today shows the total volume for the current day. This field continues updating if market activity continues after the regular session closes. This value may not be available for some futures markets - see Volume Data for Futures for more information.

• Trade Size shows the number of shares or contracts involved in the transaction.

  Figures of less than 1000 shares are displayed without any abbreviation, while figures greater than 1000 are displayed using the following characters- K = 1,000, M = 1,000,000, and B = 1,000,000,000. For example, a figure of 2,500 shares is shown as 2.5K (2.5 x 1,000 = 2,500 shares).
