Size (Column)

The number of shares or contracts involved in a specific market event.

In the Market Depth summary pane, Size displays the total number of shares or contracts offered for both the Bid and Ask. The Bid Size is listed first, separated from the Ask Size by an asterisk (*). For example, 1200 * 3100 indicates that there are currently 1200 shares in demand and 3100 shares for sale.
