Importing EasyLanguage Archive, Storage, and Document Files

When importing studies and strategies, you can only import one ELA/ELS/ELD file at a time. Each ELA/ELS/ELD file may contain several studies and/or strategies. Once you specify the file to import, the wizard enables you to select individually each study and/or strategy you want import from the file. If the study or strategy already exists in your work area, the study or strategy is not imported.

  1. From the Menu bar, click File > Import/Export EasyLanguage to open the Import and Export Wizard. You can also double-click an EasyLanguage document file to open the Import and Export Wizard.
  2. Select Import EasyLanguage file (ELD, ELS or ELA) from the list of wizards.
  3. Click Next.
  4. In the Select the location of your EasyLanguage Archive file box, enter the appropriate path and file name (for example, C:\My Studies\Indicators.els).

If you do not know the location and/or path of your EasyLanguage Archive file, you can scan or browse your hard drive. For more information, see Scanning and Browsing Your Hard Drive for EasyLanguage Files.

  1. Click Next.
  2. Select the categories that you want to import.

Click Select All to select all analysis categories. Click Clear All to clear all categories so that you can reselect the appropriate categories.

  1. Click Next.
  2. Select the studies and/or strategies to import.

    Click Select All to select all studies and/or strategies. Click Clear All if you want to clear all selected studies and/or strategies to start over.
  1. Click Finish.
  2. Click OK when the importing process is complete.
