Range Settings and Downloads
Range settings may change depending on pending downloads and completed downloads. TradeStation will change the Last Date, Number of Days Back (Weeks or Months if applicable), and/or First Date to reflect the amount of data your chart contains before a download. After the download is complete, these range settings will be updated to reflect the changes.
There are several scenarios in which TradeStation may change the range settings.
Declining a Download
If you decline to download the additional data over the short-term allowance for a chart, the range settings for the chart will be modified to reflect the amount of data that is immediately available (without a download). For instance, say that the short-term data allowance for tick data is 5 days. If you create a new chart requesting 50 days of tick data, you will receive the Download Scheduler Request dialog. If you decide not to schedule a download for the additional 45 days of tick data, the Last Date and the Number of Days Back for the chart will be updated to reflect that the chart contains 5 days of tick data.
