Opening Workspaces
When you reopen your workspaces, the data specified in the Customize Symbol dialog box of your Chart Analysis window is reloaded. In addition, all studies are automatically recalculated. Drawing objects, such as trendlines, are also adjusted. If you choose an already opened workspace, it becomes the current workspace.
You can also use this procedure to open any of the sample workspaces included with TradeStation. The sample workspaces are: Chart Analysis, Futures, Options, and Stock Watch. You can use these workspaces to get an idea of how workspaces function or even as a building block for your own workspaces.
Access using the menu bar File > Open Workspace menu sequence. The Open Workspace dialog is displayed.
- Navigate to the location to the workspace is saved.
- Select the desired workspace to open. For multiple workspaces, hold the CTRL key and select additional workspaces.
- Click Open. The workspace is now displayed in your TradeStation window.
If the workspace opened includes drawing objects or studies with alerts or orders enabled, and the alert or order conditions are true on the last bar of the chart, a message dialog box will appear on your screen, notifying you of the triggered alert or new order.
