Displaying or Hiding Title Bars

In the desktop you can choose to display a window's title bar or hide it (turn it off). You can do so globally; in other words, you can turn all title bars off or on for each specified window type. You cannot turn a title bar on and off an individual window instance.

  1. From the Menu bar, click File > Preferences > Desktop. The TradeStation Desktop Preferences dialog is displayed.
  2. Click the View tab.
  3. The Title Bars section displays a list of all possible window types. When selected, the title bars are turned on for that window.
    • To display only TradeStation windows in the list, select the Show TradeStation windows only check box.
    • To display TradeStation windows along with ActiveX applications that are part of TradeStation, clear the check box.
  4. Select one of the following title bar display options:
    • To display or hide specific title bars, select the Show title bar on windows selected above option and then clear the check box for the specific window type.
    • To display only the title bar of the currently active window (other window titles will be hidden), select the Only show title bar on the active window option.
    • To hide all title bars, select the Hide all title bars option. This overrides the individual settings and turns off all title bars for all windows.
  5. Click OK.

When you're working with a Chart Analysis window, certain information is displayed in the window's title bar while other information is displayed in the chart status line. SeeCustomize Window - Status Line for information about changing the appearance of the status line in a chart.
