Desktop Preferences - Desktops

Use the Desktops tab to display how your desktops appear when starting and exiting TradeStation.

 Access using the menu bar File > Preferences > Desktop menu sequence and select the Desktops tab.

On Startup  

Controls how the TradeStation desktops open once the TradeStation platform is launched. By default, TradeStation will open all desktops from the previous session.

• Open a new desktop - Displays an empty desktop each time the TradeStation platform opens.
• Open all desktops from previous session - Opens the desktops that were saved from your previous session.
• Open specific desktops - Opens only the desktops selected from the saved desktops listed. This is useful if you want a specific desktop you saved to open each time you launch TradeStation.
• Prompt on startup - Prompts you to select your desktop preferences when the TradeStation platform opens.

On Exit  

Controls how the TradeStation desktops close when you exit the TradeStation platform. By default, TradeStation will close the active desktop.

• Close the active desktop - Closes the active desktop upon clicking the Close button.
• Close all desktops - Closes all desktops upon clicking the Close button.
• Prompt on exit - Prompts you to select your desktop preferences upon clicking the Close button.

 Click OK to apply changes or Cancel to exit without changes.
