New Strategy Order Dialog

The New Strategy Order dialog appears when a strategy that has been enabled for automatic trading through your TradeStation account generates an order.

Attention

Contains the suggested action step needed by your strategy. For example, "Order needs to be placed".

Order Information

Displays the details of your order. For example, "Buy 500 MSFT @ 26.40 Limit".

Additional Info

Contains the workspace, signal, interval, account, and orders pending information.

  • Workspace - The workspace from which the strategy order was generated.
  • Signal - The name of the order such as Buy or Short.
  • Interval - The data interval of the chart that generated the order, such as 5 minutes.
  • Account - The account number for which you enabled automated trading with this strategy.
  • Orders Pending - The number of orders that you currently have pending.

The New Strategy Order dialog contains the following buttons so you can manage the trade. The buttons automatically display the symbol that the order is for.

 Buys the order as is.

 Sells the order as is.

 Modifies the order details in the Trade Bar. Once you click the button, the Trade Bar will automatically populate with the order details. Your order will not be sent until you send it from the Trade Bar.

 Ignores the order. The Order Held column on the Strategy Orders tab will display an Ignored status. Your order will not be sent. Once you have set an order to Ignored, you can change it back to an active order.

 Launches the TradeManager window. Your order will not be sent.

 Launches the Chart Analysis window. Your order will not be sent.
