Customize Page - Messaging (RadarScreen)
The Messaging tab allows you to customize the Messaging settings for the active RadarScreen page. . To use periodic update messaging in the RadarScreen window, you must also set up an email address. See Notification Preferences.
You can enable this feature on a page-by-page basis or for all of the pages. For example, you might have five pages within a RadarScreen window but enable the messaging feature for only one page. Also, you might want to be notified more or less frequently depending on the type of symbols on a particular page. For example, you can set up a page that sends messages every 10 minutes and create another page that sends messages every 30 minutes.
Periodic update messages are not logged to the Message Center. If no ticks are received during the specified time period, no updates will be sent. The next update will be sent as soon as a tick is received.
Access using the Settings > Page menu sequence and select the Messaging tab.
- Enable Periodic Email Update every [] minutes - Check this setting to enable the setting to enter the desired number of minutes to pass between each update.
- Study values to Send - Check the studies columns for which you want to receive updates.
- Include Studies names with values - Check this setting if you to include the indicator column names in the update message.
Symbols to Send
- Send all symbols - Select this setting to receive an update on all of the symbols on your RadarScreen page.
- Send first [ ] symbols listed - Select this setting to receive an update for a certain number of symbols, starting with the first symbol and counting down the list. Enter the number of symbols (starting from the first symbol) that you want to receive an update for in the field.
- Configure Email - Launches the Messaging dialog to set up the email address that you want to use.
Apply to all pages - Check this setting to apply these settings to all pages in the active RadarScreen window.
Click OK to apply changes or Cancel to exit without changes.
