Find in Files Dialog Box

You can use this dialog box to search EasyLanguage files.

  • This dialog is accessed using the Edit - Find In Files menu sequence from the TradeStation Development Environment menu bar.

To search for matching text in EasyLanguage files

  1. In the Find what box, enter the text that you want to find. The Find what drop-down list retains a list of your previous search items so that you can perform a previous search again.
  2. Under In Types, select the study files that you want to search.
  3. Select the Match case check box to perform a case-sensitive search.
  4. Click Find. Your find results are displayed in the Output Bar on the Find In Files tab. If the text string is not found, no entries are logged in the Output Bar.

  The Output Bar opens automatically if you did not already have it open.

  1. To view any of the files, double-click the study name. The search text is highlighted in the file so that you can locate it easily.
  2. Your results are cleared from the Find In Files tab when you perform a new search.
