Assigning or Removing a Macro Hot Key

Having Hot Keys assigned to macros is a tremendous help especially when you have to run a macro frequently. By having a hot key assigned to the macro, it will allow you to run the macro with a simple keystroke. When you no longer are using the macro, you can also easily remove the macro's hot key.

 Access using the menu bar View > Hot Keys menu sequence, or from the Main toolbar, click the Macro icon, and click Toolbars. The Hot Keys dialog is displayed. For more information, see Hot Keys.

Assigning a Hot Key to a Macro

• Categories - Select the desired menu option.
• Commands - Select the desired command to assign a hot key to.
• Press new Hot Key - Press the desired Hot Key command (i.e. Alt + K) to assign the macro. If there is a Hot Key currently assigned to the macro, it will be displayed in the Current keys field.
• Assign - Assigns the new hot key to the selected command.

 Click Close to apply changes.

Removing a Macro's Hot Key

• Categories - Select the desired menu option.
• Commands - Select the desired command to remove that hot key that it was assigned to.
• Current keys - Select the hot key to remove.
• Remove - Removes the hot key from the Current keys field.

 Click Close to apply changes.
