Format Analysis Technique - Advanced

The Advanced tab allows you to set advanced preferences for analysis techniques including Indicators, ShowMe studies, and PaintBar studies. Choose a setting for Same-tick Optimization when analysis techniques are set to update intra-bar. This allows you control whether analysis techniques and analysis techniques skip calculations when a symbol trades at the same price.  

 The Update value intra-bar setting from the Format Analysis Technique > General tab must be enabled.

 Access using the menu bar Format > Analysis Techniques menu sequence and select Format > Advanced tab.

• Auto-detect - Check this setting to automatically optimize your selected analysis technique when certain references are not included.
• On - Check this setting to calculate when price changes.
• Off - Check this setting to calculate on every tick.

 The EasyLanguage attribute SameTickOpt can be used to "lock" this setting to On or Off so that developers can determine how a custom analysis technique will calculate.

Default - Sets any changes that you made as your default setting.

Edit EasyLanguage - Launches the TradeStation Development Environment. If disabled, the option to edit the analysis technique in the TradeStation Development Environment is not available.

 Click OK to apply changes or Cancel to exit without changes.
