Append Symbol(s) to Custom Symbol Lists

The Append Symbol(s) to Custom Symbol Lists dialog allows you to add (or append) a symbol to an existing symbol list from the active window or ticker. For example, if you are looking at IBM on a chart, you can easily add the symbol to a new or existing custom symbol list.

 Access using the menu bar Format > Append [symbol] to Custom Symbol Lists menu sequence.

 Using the shortcut menu, select Append [symbol] to Custom Symbol Lists .

Before appending a symbol to a custom symbol list, you must first select a symbol or multiple symbols in the active window. The selected symbol(s) will be displayed under Symbols to append section of the dialog.
 

Symbol Lists  

Contains your customized symbol lists that have been created.

Symbols to append  

Displays the selected or highlighted symbol(s) in the active window.

• Click Create List.
• Select Custom Symbol List or Historical Custom Symbol List. The Create Historical Custom Symbol List dialog is displayed. For more information, see Create Custom Symbol List.
• Type a custom name for the custom list in the [Historical] Custom Symbol List Name field. For Historical Custom Symbol List, select a date from the calendar; enter a time by entering it or you can use the or arrow.
• Click OK. The new [Historical] Custom Symbol List is created.

 Click Close to apply changes and exit the window. The new custom symbol list is created and displayed in the Manage Custom Symbol Lists dialog.
