Create Historical Custom Symbol List

Historical Custom Symbol Lists provides the flexibility needed when rebalancing of symbol lists from indexes and exchanges take place. For example, a top 100 index periodically reviews and compares its components, and re-ranks all eligible companies. As a result, adjustments are made and the components that rated in the top 100 are retained in their Index. By creating a historical custom symbol list from prior years, the symbol list is saved historically which can be used for comparison for present and future analysis.

1. Access using the menu bar Format > Manage Custom Symbol Lists menu sequence or from the Insert Symbol List dialog, click Manage Lists. The Manage Custom Symbol Lists dialog is displayed.
2. Click the Create List button, and then select Historical Custom Symbol List. The Create Historical Custom Symbol List dialog is displayed.
   
   

Historical Custom Symbol List Name  

• Enter the desired name for the new historical custom symbol list.

As of Date & Time  

The date & time represents when the historical custom list is valid and will be displayed under the Historical Custom List. You can have multiple historical components with each of its own date & time.

• Select the desired date using the calendar.
• Enter a time or use the or arrow.

 Click OK to apply changes or Cancel to exit without any changes.
