EasyLanguage Reserved Words & Functions Help
EasyLanguage documents (analysis techniques, strategies, and functions) include statements that allow you to access market data from analysis windows (charts and grids) and to control logic that can plot information and manage your trading rules.
This help file includes topics about:
- Reserved Words - definitions and examples of EasyLanguage reserved words.
- Functions - syntax, parameters, and examples of built-in EasyLanguage functions.
- EasyLanguage Terminology - including conceptual topics and definitions related to reserved words and functions.
Accessing Reserved Word & Function Help:
- From the Menu bar of the TradeStation Development Environment, click Help > EasyLanguage Reserved Words & Functions
- Right-click on any reserved word in the EasyLanguage code editor and select Definition of... to display information.
- Select Help from a right-click while editing an EasyLanguage Document to access editor related help.
- Click the Help button or Definition button in a window to display information.
Ways to find information in Help:
- Contents - The Contents tab provides a Table of Contents that organizes help topics by category much like the chapters in a book. Click the + to expand a category. Click the - to collapse a category. Click on a topic name to view the related topic.
- Index - The Index tab lists keywords and phrases to help you to locate related topics and concepts within the help system. Type a keyword or select it from the list, then click Display to view the related topic.
- Search - Use this tab to find the word(s) within help topics. Match similar words allows you to find the searched word in every help topic. Search titles only allows you to search the word in the Help topic title only. Using this option will reduce the results and is the preferred method of using Search.
