Symbol Lookup - 3rd Party

The 3rd Party tab allows you to find and manage previously created 3rd party data to be plotted in Chart Analysis and RadarScreen windows.

 Access using the menu bar Insert > Symbol menu sequence and click Lookup. You can also use the Main toolbar and click the Symbol Lookup icon.

Specifies the data source that is used for to search for 3rd party symbols.

• Data Source - Used to select the data source to search for 3rd party symbols. Click Add if none exists.
• Add - Creates a new data source. The Add/Edit Data Source dialog is displayed. Select the type of data file (ascii or metastock), specify the location of the data source, and enter a prefix for a 3rd party data symbol name representing each data file in the specified location.
• Edit - Modifies an existing data source.
• Remove - Removes the selected data source.

Make your selection from the list below - Select the file name that containing the 3rd party data you want to use. A 3rd party data file contains price data that has been exported from an application and is stored in a defined format.  

 Click OK to confirm your selection and return to the previous window, or click Cancel to exit without changes.
