Position Search Wizard/Format Search - Strategies

Once you have identified the underlying assets you want to use in your position search, the Position Search Wizard - Strategies dialog is the next logical step in the wizard process. OptionStation Search includes all of the most widely traded, industry standard option positions for you to choose from. Option positions strategies maybe selected individually or may also be selected by market outlook and risk profile.

Access from the Position Search Wizard/Format Search - Underlying Asset, or Format > Search and select the Strategies tab.

Market Outlooks

Enables you to select one or more market outlooks for the underlying asset(s) and options for which you are performing a position search. Each market outlook automatically selects the appropriate strategies (based on the outlook and risk profile) and selects them in the lower Strategies section. You can select more than one Market Outlook(s), the strategies for each outlook will be combined.

Create/Format - Specifies the market outlook categories for the selected market outlook.
Definition - Displays a Help topic containing definition links for Market Outlooks.

Strategies

Enables you to specifically select one or more option trading strategies. The Show Selected Only check box allows you

Format - Displays the format settings for the selected strategy.
Definition - Displays a Help topic containing definition links for Strategies.
Clear All - Clears all market outlooks and strategies selected.
Show Selected Only - Check this setting to display only those strategies that have been selected for this search. This removes strategies that are not being used for the position search. This is a great way to learn which strategies are associated with each Market Outlook.

From the wizard, click Next to proceed, Back to display the previous dialog, or Cancel to exit without changes.

From the Format > Search menu sequence, click OK to apply changes or Cancel to exit without changes.
