Provider - Comtex News > Categories

The Categories tab allows you to select the types of news categories you want to use in the news filter.  

 Access from the News Filter - Providers dialog, clear the Disable news for all... check box and click Edit. The Provider - Comtex News > Categories dialog will be displayed.

Categories  

Contains a list of category types the provider supports.

• All - Select this setting to use all the news categories that the provider supports. All is selected by default.
• Custom - Select this setting to select the types of news categories you want to use as a personal preference for the News filter.
  • Add - Launches the Categories dialog which contains a list of categories that can be included in your filter.  
  • Remove - Removes the selected category from the Custom box.

Setting  

Displays Comtex News settings for Categories and Sources.

• Select the desired option for the custom news category.

Set as Default - Check this setting to use these settings as the default for all future filters.

 Click OK to apply changes or Cancel to exit without any changes.
