News Filter - Providers

The News Filter - Providers dialog allows you to retrieve news stories from entitled news service providers using categories and sources offered by each individual provider. Provider settings can be changed and customized to your personal preference, and is based on account entitlement.

 Access by using the menu bar Format > Filter or Insert > Filter menu sequence and select the Providers tab.

Providers  

The Providers box contains a list of providers. A check mark next to the provider's name indicates the provider that is being used when searching headlines and news stories. In order to make any changes to the providers, clear the check box setting for Display news for all available providers.

• Check the desired provider you want used to filter news stories. If you are not entitled for a specific news provider, the check box will be grayed out.

Settings for Comtex News  

Displays the categories and sources that have been chosen for the selected provider.  

• Display news for all available providers - Clear this setting to change the category and source settings for a provider. The check boxes in the Providers box will be enabled.
• Highlight a provider in the Providers list.
• Edit- Allows you to select additional categories and sources for the provider. The Provider - Comtex News dialog is displayed.

Set as default - Check this setting to use these settings as the default for all future filters.

 Click OK to apply changes or Cancel to exit without any changes.
