Quick Trade Bar for Forex
The Forex Quick Trade Bar is specifically designed with the Forex trader in mind. There are two layouts to the Quick Trade Bar; Standard FX and Simple FX. When you customize the layout of your Quick Trade Bar, changes you made to it will be saved once you save your workspace.
Access by clicking the Quick Trade Bar icon from the TradingApps window or use the menu from the Market Depth window.
Standard FX Layout
From the Forex Quick Trade Bar, access using the shortcut menu Quick Trade Bar Layouts and select Standard FX.
The Standard FX layout is the default view when launching a new Quick Trade Bar and contains upper, middle, and lower sections in the window.
- The upper section displays the selected symbol, Low and Hi price of the day, , , , and . you can change the symbol by typing into the quick trade bar's symbol box, using the main toolbar's command line, or from other TradeStation windows that have linking capability.
- The middle section displays 'one-click' Sell and Buy buttons which contain the current market price, and the Bid and Ask price. Arrows displayed above the Buy/Sell amount determines the direction of the market. In addition, the Quantity box is located between the one-click buttons. By default, 100,000 shares are displayed In the Quantity box. By typing the desired amount or using the Quantity up/down arrows, you can adjust the amount in 100,000 increments.
- The lower section contains preset quantity buttons above the account number. The account number displayed is the current account number for the order. Additional account numbers are listed in the account number drop-down list, if applicable. and buttons buys and sells an order.
The following Forex Quick Trade Bar displays the Sell buttons in red and the Buy buttons in blue.
Simple FX Layout
From the Forex Quick Trade Bar, access using the shortcut menu Quick Trade Bar Layouts and select Simple FX.
The Simple FX layout removes the upper and lower sections and only displays the selected symbol, sell & buy, and quantity buttons.
