Quick Trade Bar for Equities and Futures

The functionality of the Quick Trade Bar for Equities and Futures are identical. There are two layout types for the Quick Trade Bar; Standard Buy/Sell and Alternate Sell/Buy. Once you customize your quick trade bar to the desired layout, the layout is saved once you save your workspace.

 Access by clicking the Quick Trade Bar icon in the TradingApps window or use the shortcut menu from the Market Depth window.

Standard Buy/Sell Layout

 From the Equities or Futures Quick Trade Bar, access using shortcut menu Quick Trade Bar Layouts and select Standard Buy/Sell.

The Standard Buy/Sell layout is the default view when opening a new Quick Trade Bar and contains upper, middle, and lower sections in the window.

• The upper section displays the selected symbol, Low and Hi price of the day, open p/l, pct, position, and avg price. you can change the symbol within the quick trade bar by entering the symbol into the quick trade bar's symbol box, using the main toolbar's command line, or from other TradeStation windows that have linking capability.  
• The middle section displays 'one-click' Buy / Buy to Cover and Sell / Sell Short buttons (based on your current account position) with the current market price, and the Bid and Ask price. Arrows displayed above the Buy/Sell amount determines the direction of the market. In addition, the Quantity box is located between the one-click buttons. By default, 500 shares are displayed for Equities, and one contract is displayed for Futures in the Quantity box. By typing the desired amount or using the Quantity up/down arrows, you can adjust the amount. Below the Buy/Sell amount(s), the Quote amount is displayed.
• The lower section contains preset quantity buttons above the account number. The account number displayed is the current account number for the order. Additional account numbers are listed in the account number drop-down list, if applicable. Buy Mkt, Sell Mkt, Take, Split, Bid+1, Ask-1, and Hit buttons buys and sells an order.  

The following Equities and Futures Quick Trade Bar displays the Buy buttons in blue and the Sell buttons in red.

Alternate Sell/Buy Layout

 From the Equities or Futures Quick Trade Bar, access using the shortcut menu Quick Trade Bar Layouts and select Standard Sell/Buy.

The Alternate Sell/Buy layout reverses the Buy and Sell positions in the Quick Trade Bar. This allows you the flexibility in changing how the buttons are displayed. The Buy and Sell buttons remain the same in color.
