About Analysis Groups

Analysis groups are organizational tools. You can apply as many analysis techniques and/or strategies as you want to a Chart Analysis or RadarScreen window, format them the way you want, and then save them as an analysis group. You can then open another Chart Analysis or RadarScreen window in any workspace, and apply the analysis group.

Analysis groups save you the work of applying analysis techniques one- by-one to a Chart Analysis or RadarScreen window. All the same analysis techniques and/or strategies, formatted the way you want, are applied to the window at one time. You can also select a default analysis group to apply every time you create a new Chart Analysis or RadarScreen window.

There are several analysis groups included with TradeStation but you can also create your own by saving your favorite groups of analysis techniques and/or strategies into an analysis group. Analysis groups are not workspace specific and can include all analysis technique types and/or strategies supported by the window.

After you apply an analysis group to a Chart Analysis or RadarScreen window, you can treat the analysis techniques and/or strategies that are part of the analysis group as separate items. Once applied to a window, the components of an analysis group cannot be formatted, modified, or deleted as a group; you must work with them individually.
