Entry settings ![]()
- Maximum open entries per position - The number of open orders a strategy can include in any one position. For example, an entry order is generated and you enter a long position; this counts as one open entry (regardless of the number of contracts or shares). The next long entry order is generated, so now there are two open entries. The value you specify in this box determines how many open orders TradeStation can include in the same position. When the maximum has been met, TradeStation ignores any additional entry orders until one or more orders in that position have been closed out.
- Maximum contracts/shares per position - The maximum number of contracts or shares that can comprise an open position. When the maximum number of contracts or shares has been reached, the strategy will ignore any additional entry orders.
