Setting a Default Session

You can set the default session for each symbol category. You can use either the regular session or create a custom session. The symbol categories are as follow: Bonds, Futures, Future Options, Indexes, Index Options, Money Market Funds, Mutual Funds, Stocks, and Stock Options.

1. From the Menu bar, click File > Preferences > Desktop.
2. Select the Sessions tab.
3. Select the symbol type you want to base the default session on from the Symbol Category list.
4. Select either the Regular session or Custom session option.
   
   If you selected the Custom session option, click View/Customize to select or create the custom session that you want to use. For more information on creating a custom session, see Creating a Custom Session Template.
5. If you have additional symbol categories for which you need to assign default sessions, return to step 3.

Click OK to apply changes or Cancel to exit without changes.
