Scanner Shortcut Options
Once the scan has been created and is saved in the Scan Pane, you change several of its options.
- Activate a Scanner window.
- Right-click in the Results pane. The shortcut menu will be displayed:
Name | Description |
Run | Click Run Scan to run the scan that is currently selected in the Scan Pane. To view the Scan Pane, click Settings on the toolbar and then click Scan Pane. |
Customize | Displays the Customize Scan dialog, where you can control and configure several options for the scan. For details on the dialog box options, view the Customize Scan > Name topic. |
Customize Columns | Displays the Customize Columns dialog. This allows you to add and/or remove columns that is displayed in the Results pane of the scan. |
Customize Window | Displays the Customize Window dialog which provides access to change the customization of the font, color and grid setting of the scan. |
Add | Launches the Add Scan wizard to create a new scan. |
Schedule Scan | Displays the Schedule tab in the Customize Scan dialog. This allows you to modify the time interval of when to schedule a scan to run. |
Settings > [pane] | Scan Pane, Results Pane, Scan Button Bar, and Sample Scans items displays parts of the window of the Scanner window. By selecting and/or deselecting these settings it will display or hide these elements of the window. |
Copy Scan | Allows you to copy the symbols and paste into another window (i.e. RadarScreen). |
Copy Window / Paste Window | By selecting Copy Window first, and Paste Window second, TradeStation will create a copy of the existing Scan window. |
Create... | By selecting a symbol in the Results pane, various options are available to you for that particular symbol, i.e. creating a new window, researching a symbol, launching the Events Log, etc. |
Append [symbol] to Custom Symbol List | Displays the Append Symbol(s) to Custom Symbol List dialog. This allows you to create a new list using the selected symbol in the Results pane. |
Manage Custom Symbol List | Displays the Manage Custom Symbol Lists dialog. This allows you to manage symbol lists that have been created. |
