Number Category

This format displays the value as a number.

1. Select Number from the Category list.
2. In the Alignment area, click the alignment type to use.
3. Enter the number of decimal places to display in the Decimal(s) box.
4. To display separate values exceeding 1,000 with commas (for example, 24500 displays as 24,500), select the Use 1000 separator check box.
   
   The Negative numbers box displays the format of a negative number and the Preview pane displays a sample of your choices.

5. Click OK.
