Using Alerts with Studies

You can enable an alert for almost any study available in charting. You are able to receive alerts in several different ways, including an Alert Notification window, an audible beep, and/or email messages.

 An important tip to remember when you have enabled alerts on any study or applied to any trading strategy:

• For an alert to be triggered, the workspace containing the studies and/or trading strategies for which alerts have been set up must be open. The workspace does not have to be the active workspace, but it must be open. Also, you must enable the alerts for each study individually.
• Make sure that the correct workspaces are open, use the File > Opened Workspaces Menu bar sequence to display a list of all currently open workspaces. If the name of a workspace for which you want to receive alerts is not displayed, it is not open. To open a workspace, use the File > Open Workspace Menu bar sequence and select the desired workspace.
