Add Study Group
The Add Study Group dialog allows you to add existing (predefined or custom) study groups to a Chart Analysis or RadarScreen window. Adding a study group provides you a shortcut of applying the studies or strategies you want to group together in one step. For your convenience, predefined study groups have been created for you and you have the flexibility of creating your own.
Once a study group is applied to your Chart Analysis or RadarScreen window, you can build from there by adding additional studies or strategies you want to also include in the window. You have the flexibility to save the studies/strategies in one group; therefore, creating a new study group or overwriting an existing one. When adding a study group to the window, you can either replace all existing studies/strategies that are currently applied to the window or you can apply a study group in addition to any existing studies and/or strategies.
Once you've applied your study group to the window, you have the flexibility of customizing the studies/strategies to your preference.
Access
using the Studies > Add Study Group menu sequence. The Add Study Group dialog is displayed.
Study Groups 
Contains the predefined and custom study groups that are available to you.
- Select the desired study group you want to add to the Chart Analysis or RadarScreen window. The studies/strategies associated with the study group appears in the Group Content section. Notes associated with the study group will be displayed in the Notes box.
Group Content
Contains the studies/strategies associated with the study group you selected in the Study Groups section.
Notes
Displays any comments that is associated with the selected study group.
Automatically add to new Chart Analysis/RadarScreen (Quotes) window - Select the study group to use as the default for all new Chart Analysis or RadarScreen windows from the drop-down list.
Replace existing Studies and Strategies - Replaces any studies/strategies that is currently applied to the Chart Analysis window. Only Chart Analysis window has the option to replace existing strategies.
Prompt for Editing - Launches the Customize Studies & Strategies - Studies dialog. This allows you to customize the studies/strategies prior to applying the study group to the Chart Analysis window. RadarScreen does not give this option.
Click
OK to apply changes or Cancel
to exit without changes.
