TradeStation Walk-Forward Optimizer

Where do I start?

To set up and use the TradeStation Walk-Forward Optimizer, perform the following steps:

1. Apply one or more Strategies to a TradeStation chart.
2. Optimize the strategy inputs using the Walk-Forward optimization type and saving the results as a Walk-Forward Test Name.
3. Launch the Walk-Forward Optimizer by clicking the icon in the TradingApp Launcher of the TradeStation platform.
4. In the WFO, use File-Open to load a Walk-Forward Test Name created from a TradeStation optimization.
5. Perform a Cluster Analysis (Multiple Walk-Forward Analysis) or Single Walk-Forward Analysis.
6. Review Cluster Analysis re-optimization results.
7. Evaluate individual Walk-Forward test results.
