Working with Panels in OptionStation Pro

The OptionStation Pro workspace contains different panels that can be moved, resized, or docked to tabs.

Resetting the default panel layout

To return the OptionStation Pro window and panels to their original size and position, click the File menu at the upper left of OptionStation Pro and select Reset to Default from the ribbon bar.

Pinning and unpinning panels

Some panels include a 'pin' icon on the title bar that automatically hides the panel when it is selected.

- Indicates that a panel is 'pinned' to its current location and remains visible.

- Indicates that a panel is 'unpinned' and will automatically hide (collapse) to a tab along the edge of the OptionStation Pro window when clicking anywhere outside the panel. Moving your cursor over, or clicking on, a tab causes the panel to expand.

Docking and floating panels

To float (detach) the Options, Analysis, Manage, or Search panel, click on the name of the tab and drag it away from the main window. Drag it back to the main window to reattach it.

In addition, right-clicking on the Options, Analysis, Manage, or Search tab (or right-clicking on a floating window toolbar) allows you to select the following actions:

• Float - The panel becomes a free floating window that can be re-sized and moved to another location on top of the other windows on your desktop. The maximize or restore buttons on the title bar cause the panel to fill the OS Pro window or to return to its float size. The Dock button on the title bar causes the panel to become docked to its tab.
• Dock - The panel is displayed as the active panel whenever the tab is clicked, until another tab is selected.

Right-clicking on the title bar of the open Trade tab allows you to select the following actions:

• Dock - The panel is locked to the bottom of the OptionStation Pro window and changes the status to 'pinned' (see above). The Float button on the title bar causes the panel to float.
• Float - The panel becomes a free floating window that can be re-sized and moved to another location on top of the other windows on your desktop. The Dock button on the title bar causes the panel to become docked to its tab.
• Auto Hide - The docked panel will automatically close when not selected so that you have to click the Trade tab to open it.

Resizing floating panels

Move your pointer over the border of the panel that you want to resize.

When the horizontal cursor or vertical cursor appears, you can drag the border to resize the panel.
