Setting RadarScreen Preferences
RadarScreen preferences allow you to customize the way that your RadarScreen windows appear and behave. Preferences are global changes so they apply to all of your RadarScreen windows. RadarScreen preferences are divided into three categories:
- General Preference - Includes settings for mouse behavior, alerts, and label rows.
- Templates Preference - Allows you to select a default template for your RadarScreen windows.
- Tooltips Preference - Allows you to enable and customize the display of ToolTips for your RadarScreen windows.
Access using the menu bar View > RadarScreen Preferences menu sequence to display the RadarScreen Preferences dialog.
General Preferences
The General tab is divided into the following sections:
- Mouse Options - Select the mouse action that you want to use for updating a window link, either a single-click or a double click. If you select the double-click option, you will no longer be able to open the Format dialog by double-clicking a cell or indicator column.
- Alerts - To reset alerts at a specific time, select the Reset Alerts at Specified Time check box and select a time from the Time box. Click the or arrow to select a time.
- Data Correction Indications - Check the Show Data Corrections Indications setting to display data correction indications.
- Grid - Check the Create Label Row when inserting Symbol Lists setting to automatically add a label row containing the name of the symbol list that you are inserting.
Templates Preferences
On the Templates tab, you can select a default template to use for your RadarScreen windows. To preview a template, click one from the Default Template list.
The Default Template list will also contain any custom templates that you have created. For more information on creating your own templates, see Save Template.
Tooltips Preferences
The Tooltips tab includes the following settings:
- Show RadarScreen (Quotes) Tooltips - Check this setting to display ToolTips in your RadarScreen windows.
- Symbol Categories - Select the type of symbol to which you want to apply a specific ToolTip.
- Available Fields - This list contains the fields that you can use in ToolTips.
- ToolTip Format - This pane is where you can set up the layout for a ToolTip.
- Apply ToolTip Format to All Categories - Check this setting to apply the same ToolTip format to all symbol categories.
