Changing the Symbol in a Chart

You can quickly change a chart symbol by using the command line or the Format Symbol dialog.

  1. Activate a Chart Analysis window.
  2. Select the plot of the symbol to change.
  3. From the Menu bar, click Format > Symbol. The Format Symbol dialog is displayed.
  4. Type the desired symbol in the Symbol box or select a previously used symbol from the drop-down list. You can use the Symbol Lookupimage\symbol_lookup.gif icon to open the Symbol Lookup dialog.

If there were analysis techniques applied to the symbol you replaced, any analysis techniques are immediately recalculated, using the price values of the new symbol.
