Enabling Short Selling Preference

To open and cover short positions, you must enable the Order Bar for short selling. For more information, see Order Entry Preferences - Equities-Trading.

1. From the Menu bar, click File > Preferences > TradeStation Order Entry, or right-click on the Order Bar and choose Order Entry Preferences. The Order Entry Preferences dialog is displayed.
2. From the left pane, select Trading for the trade type.
3. Under Short Selling, select the Enable Short Selling check box.
4. Click OK.
