TradeStation Help
You can turn off, or temporarily disable an indicator without removing it from a chart. For example, you may want to turn off an indicator if you modified the input values and do not want the indicator to continue performing its calculations. Another reason you may want to disable an indicator is if you want to keep the indicator saved with the chart it is applied to but do not want the indicator to perform calculations at the moment.
When an indicator's status is set to Off, the indicator will not perform any calculations or trigger any alerts.
The indicator is now disabled.
Runtime errors automatically turn off indicators. To enable an indicator that caused a runtime error, you must correct the error and then set the indicator's status back to On. For more information, see Correcting Runtime Errors in Indicators Due to Maximum Number of Bars Study Will Reference Setting. In addition to runtime errors, Data Missing errors automatically turn off indicators. To enable this indicator, you must add the appropriate number of data streams and then set the indicator's status to On.
